Proposal Acceptance Criteria

It is important to understand the proposal acceptance criteria for moving forward with a book proposal. The Wiley-IEEE Press Acquisitions staff will look at three primary factors when making a decision about a book proposal.

  1. Key information from the book proposal form: What need does the book fulfill?
  2. Market research: Is there a market for the book?
  3. Cost analysis: Does it make financial sense to publish the book?

Acquisitions staff evaluates this information and consults with experts in the field to decide if the book will be published. You may be asked to revise your proposal following these discussions.

If your book proposal is accepted for publication, you will be offered a book publishing contract.
