Understand your responsibilities for securing permissions for reuse of materials.
If your book reuses content that has been published before, then you are responsible for obtaining permission to reuse that content. You should obtain permission from the original work’s copyright owner, which is usually the publisher. This includes text, graphics, or other reused material. It applies to your own work, as well as other authors’ materials. If the copyright of the original material is held by IEEE, you can request and clear permissions in minutes by clicking on the copyright symbol on the original published work’s page in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library.
Unless your contract says otherwise, you are responsible for securing reuse permissions, paying any associated fees, and submitting the permission approvals with your final manuscript. View Wiley’s permissions guidelines for more details.
